What is a house concert?  A house concert is a unique twist on the formal concert venues,  it brings the "listening room" to your home.  Hosting a house concert is a fun way to get friends together and listen to acoustic music in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.   You simply invite a musician to perform, set a date and invite your friends, or make it a community event. To compensate the artist simply charge $10-12.00 at the door,  with a guaranteed minimum.  House concerts are held in a variety of venues (homes, resorts, churches, parks and  coffeehouses. . . ) any space that allows for seating of 30-60 guests. Each house concert is unique....some hosts offer refreshments,  others plan the event around a pot luck or special event. The photo below is from Reverie Bed & Breakfast, where the hosts  provided a spectacular  sunset, fine wine, cheese and  gourmet  chocolates....yum...

House Concerts are BIG fun!
It's big fun for the artist....the host....and others in your community to get up close
and personal with Jay and his music.

"Jay's presence, both quiet & powerful,  the back drop of the lighthouse....a stunning sunset....wine, cheese & chocolate blended with a night of original music....the evening was perfect!  Jay's an incredible performer, we look forward to having him return next year!"
Robert & Susan King, host & hostess at Reverie on the Lake
